It has been very warm here for the last two weeks. We have been above freezing since the 10th of February. We even hit 51 on the 19th. Needless to say this has just about destroyed the snow here at the house. On the bright side it should help the heating and electric bills. Looks like we should get back to normal temperatures by the end of the week, of course this doesn't make Jen or Krista happy. They both are telling me that spring is here; just keep telling yourself that...lol.
Not much happening this week, except for the big excitement of putting my life on the edge while letting Krista drive! Yes, get off the sidewalk. She hasn't backed the car into the garage yet, maybe she learned her lesson 5 years ago when she backed the Nova into the garage. For those of you that don't know, she started the Nova when she was 10. She never pushed in the clutch, so it ran into the garage. Well she has been driving the cavalier on and off for the last year, but we had taken a break since the roads have been so slick. So we decided to go out this week, she only tried to run one red light and she managed to run one stop sign. Other than that she did good. She is getting good with the clutch, but I am not sure she is a multi-tasker. lol
On the Ashley side.......well I think she has officially gotten senioritis (spelling?). She seems to know everything...hmmmm, I am not sure where she gets that....lol I may be sleeping on the couch after that comment. I do believe when I was 17 I knew everything, but when I turned 18 I realized I didn't know everything when I was 17, but I did at 18. Well that cycle went on for several years until I grew up and realized I don't really know anything.
Krista has an official calendar for how many days until Ashley leaves..... Funny how that works, only about a year ago the girl wanted brothers and sisters and was excited to have a sister, funny how the grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence. Now if you ask her if she would like a sister or brother, she says NO I want to be an only child! I do believe Jen and I used to have the fantasy about being an only child at one point or another growing up LOL. So Krista has the count down to Ashley leaving calendar and Ashley has the count down to freedom calendar, lol, they are both soooooo in for a surprise LOL.
Yesterday we went to the start of the Iron Dog snowmachine race on Big Lake. The Iron Dog is a 2000 mile race to Nome and back to Fairbanks. Anyway the start is on a frozen lake, and Jen really could not get the idea we were going to drive a couple miles out on a lake to watch the start of a race. Andrew and I didn't make her feel much better when we started talking about Ice road truckers falling through the ice. Before the iron dog start, they held a race called iron pup, which is kids riding small 120 cc machines. It was a lot of fun seeing kids as small as four riding those machines. Jen thought it was so cute, to the point she said we should adopt a little boy. She is now grounded!!! I had to send her to the truck. After the start of race we also had a vintage race, now I know you all are probably getting tired of me telling you about this, but this is what we are doing this time of year. The girls keep telling me they enjoy going, and since I really enjoy it, we keep going. I was able to make another podium finish, and Andrew was able to finish the race this time, although he did fall off once. So I think the score is old guys = 2, Andrew = 0. Last week I could hardly walk until around Wednesday, but this week I am not as sore. Anyway here are a few pictures. Hope everyone is doing well, and we miss you.

Wow...that crack picture reminds me of Roy. :)
