Update

Ashley - we went and saw the orthopedic doctor again and he gave her the go ahead to walk on her ankle but she has to remain in the walking cast until we go back to see him in June on the 22nd.  She is at least happy she is off the crutches but wants out of the cast so she can start working out.  She is going to work out with Nick a friend of hers that is also going into the Air Force at the same time.  Other than that she is hanging out and enjoying her summer as much as she can with a cast ha ha. Here is a picture of Ash and some of her friends from Kodiak that she got to see when they came to play the girl's school a couple of weekends ago.

Krista-Is getting ready to go see Michelle (her mom) and Grandma in Illinois for a few weeks, she is excited to see everyone, but bummed about not having much of her summer to spend with friends.  When she leaves her mom's she will be flying into Missoula where David and I will pick her up so we can spend time with his family and mine.  We don't get back to Alaska till July 18th or so, and Cross Country starts on August 2nd and School starts August 17th, so her summer is pretty much shot this year. She is doing good though and she enjoyed her time in Fairbanks at the tournament.  She didn't get to play much which was disappointing to her but when she did play she played well.  I told her don't worry she is a freshman and that is a big deal as a freshman that she got to even go.  She has 3 more years to play so she has lots of opportunities.  Below is a picture of her working on her jeep.  Notice what the license plate says, and just so you know yes she is standing up in the picture and yes she is that short ha ha ha ha!!! That is why we call her Umpa!

Dave and Jen - Well we are trying to get the girls organized and the house organized and everything done that needs to be done before we take off to come see you all.  We are busy, busy lol.  But here are a few pictures for you to enjoy.

We miss you all and will see you soon!

Latest and Greatest

Well, we have been busy, as usual!  The girls are involved in softball still, Krista is pitching and doing pretty well for a first timer, she gets better with every game and her batting is getting better.  Monday night she hit a sweet hit to the out field, it was AWESOME!  We took her to the batting cages and it paid off, I think she surprised herself with the hit.

Krista has also been getting better on her driving, but as Dave learned you still need to pay close attention to her.  He was off on Monday and she was driving him around for all his errands, well David got to yakking on the phone as he does often (ha ha) and was not paying attention, and told Krista at the last minute that she was missing the turn they needed, so like an inexperienced driver she jammed on the breaks and tried to make the turn.  They almost got rear ended and almost wiped out a light pole.  After that David stayed off the phone ha ha ha ha!! They got home and he came down hugged and kissed me and told me they almost died, and then told me what happened, so in Krista's defense I smacked him and told him he can't be on the phone when she is driving ha ha.  He said "wow thanks for the sympathy" then laughed.  Krista said she realizes now that she probably should have just kept going and found a place to turn around, I guess she will know better next time.

Ash has been keeping score for the varsity team, it is killing her not to be able to play and she is more than ready to get off the crutches and out of the cast.  We go to see the doctor on Thursday at 3pm to see if she gets her freedom or not.  They are suppose to be going to Fairbanks this weekend so she is hoping she gets to go with out a cast and maybe just a really stiff ankle brace.  Dave and I told her not to hold her breath hoping for that one!  She hasn't been able to drive or work so she is driving us NUTS!  Thank god her boyfriend has been coming and taking her places, or I may have to duct tape her mouth shut so I don't have to listen to the whining! She is moving around a lot better, so that is at least something.  The recruiter stopped by to check on her and let us all know that he gets the open job sheet in to his office May 27 so we should know which job she gets to do and her exact date she will be leaving for basic training.  She also found out that her and a guy she knows from school will be leaving at the same time, so they talked about signals they could give each other in the chow line to say Hi since male and female recruits are not allowed to talk to each other.  He happens to be a friend of ours son so we will all be going down to basic training graduation together, which is kind of cool.

As for Dave and I we are trying to get everything in place for the trip down to the lower 48 this summer, and are excited to see everyone!  You all better have NICE weather for us, not the yucky snow stuff you have been getting, I see that for 9 months out of the year up here and don't want to see it during the summer! So you know I have a list a mile long that changes everyday of stuff to get done before we leave, things to make sure we have for the trip, places to stop and see along the way etc.  David just shakes his head and says whatever makes me happy, I can make as many lists as I want but he doesn't need them.  I told him HA! We will see when he starts packing stuff, he will come around to the list Nazi ha ha ha ha!!!

Well better run!  I will write more again soon!  Love and miss you all!

More Graduation Pictures and some random pics

Hello all,

Okay here are the graduation pictures.  Sorry there isn't many, Dave's camera was having problems in the low light.  But here is what we have.  We ordered the DVD of the graduation and we will load that up to YouTube and add the link once we get it.  They didn't give the kids the actual diploma until after the ceremony, had to keep the threat that no pranks or no diploma going until the end LOL, that didn't actually work by the way.

Enjoy!

Twelve years of education and she learned to make this face, priceless!!!

Wow huh, I think I can say I did a pretty good job, I am very proud of her and know that she will go far in her life, just look who her parents are!!!  We are awesome LOL!!

Quick update

A visit to the Dr. today gave us some good news. A small fracture that won't need any surgery or anything. She will be in an air cast for 4 weeks and then they will take more xrays, but it looks good.We also talked to the Air Force and they said this will not delay her from going into the Air Force, so that is also good news.

Krista had some games on Saturday, and I will try and get some video and pics up soon. I will leave you with a couple of pics for today.
