Ready or Not here we come!

Okay the truck is loaded down with everything but the fridge and the kitchen sink.  Kodiak has a small area in the back of the truck with her bed, Ashley has some room, and Dave and I have some room.  Should make for an interesting ride/race down the AL-CAN.  We will make sure to take a ton of pictures and we will see you once we get there everyone!!! We can't wait!!!

Just a photo taken here at work at 4 in the morning on my phone. Not a bad picture for a phone, and notice how light it is at 4AM.

7 days and counting

Hey all it is 7 days and counting till Dave, Ash, Jen and the dog hit the road!  We are going to try and get out of her Friday the 25th in the afternoon.  There has been a flurry of activity going on around here getting ready for everything and making sure we don't forget things like "Pack Aunt Marlene's rocks", I think we would be in trouble if we showed up with out those ha ha!  I have at least 10 different lists going of stuff to do, stuff to pack, stuff to buy, stuff to make sure we have for the boarders, etc it is insane ha ha.

Dave and I have been getting the truck ready and the house ready for us to be gone so that we don't have any issues while we are gone.  We have some people who will be staying at the house while we are gone so at least we know that someone will be here to check on the house.  Don't worry we are still bringing Kodiak, we wouldn't leave her behind, she loves to go BYE BYE lol.

Ashley is getting her leg checked on the 22nd, we are crossing our fingers for the cast to come off.  She won't get a report to basic date until she gets the all clear from the doctor.  The recruiter told us that the job openings are not as many as originally thought as soooooo many people decided to stay in the military, due to the economy, so there are not as many open positions for non combat areas.  So she may not end up going until later this fall or early winter, so we are in a wait and see pattern.  Hopefully we will know soon or hear while we are down there.  Either way Dave and I informed Princess that if you get delayed to go to boot camp you WILL BE GETTING A JOB!  She is not really looking forward to that LOL.

Krista is with her mom and grandma and has been since the 1st of June.  We will be picking her up June 30th in Missoula and then she will be driving back with us up the AL-CAN.  She is running all over the south and visiting every body and their brother LOL.  They are letting her drive, I thought WOW they are brave LOL.  She has been filling us in almost daily about EVERYTHING she has been doing, all the cute boys she has seen and all the good places she has been eating LOL.  Enjoying every time she gets to tell us that she has gone to Sonic or Krispy Creme Donuts.  We have threaten to sell her Jeep if she doesn't bring us some crispy creme's with her when she flys back to Montana LOL.  She of course did not think that was funny.  She is looking forward to seeing everyone in Idaho and Washington and going shopping LOL.

As for me I am just busy, busy trying to get things at work cleaned up before we head out, vet appointments done, dentist appointments done, doctor appointments done before we all head down. Of course I bug Dave and Ashley with one more thing I have thought of that needs to be done, packed, bought or added to a list so I think they may be planning on leaving me on the road side in Canada somewhere so if I don't show up in Idaho or Washington send out the search party LOL.

Well better run!  See you all in a few days!!!
