Well lets see where to start........., lets go alphabetically.............
Ashley - She is well into her school for the Air Force and is doing good. She is enjoying herself. She should be done with school at the end of February and we should be finding out where her permanent base will be, hopefully it will be close to home. She may have to stay at Keesler for a bit since the job she was assigned is a new technology job for the Air Force so the bases themselves are not ready for her, so once the bases are ready then she will be sent to her base. She has decided that Air Force boys are stupid lol, and the only ones worth anything are either officers or special operations guys lol. She finally got off base privileges and of course has been shopping. Not sure how she is going to be able to haul all of the stuff she has bought to her new base lol. Other than that she is just having fun and figuring out how it all works. She is very happy with her decision to join the Air Force and is really happy with her life.
David - Well lets see he is proving that age is a killer lol, it is hell getting old!! He hurt is ankle snowmobiling and it has taken longer than it should to heal, at least in his eyes cause you know he is superman lol. Last weekend he was racing and they had a really nasty track and his sled caught a crack in the ice and he got flipped off the sled, his elbow is bruised and he has a lovely bruise on his leg, but hey he came in second and got a trophy so not all bad LOL. He has been cleaning up his man cave so that he has more room to "work" on his sleds, you know code for ditch the women listen to music and drink some beer in the garage while gossiping with his buddies, oh sorry that would be talking about manly stuff. LOL. He was able to take vacation this year so he could make all his races so that will be fun.
Jennifer - Well hmmm things are not so hot for me starting out in 2011, apparently it is just not my year. GE decided to do away with my software product so on January 6th I was told I had a job for 30 days then after that, no more job. February 4th I am officially unemployed for the first time in my life. On the bright side it is giving me time to figure what I would like to do with myself, honestly I have been doing this all for so long I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up LOL. I have had a few interviews so hoping that one of them will pan out. Will be weird to not work from home and have to communicate with people and not just the dog lol. Might be just the change I was looking for, time will tell.
Krista - Well Umpa is taking her drivers test on January 28th, so consider this your official warning!!! Stay clear of Alaska for your own safety. I will put out another public safety message if she is in the lower 48 this summer as she will be on the roads down there next, if she goes home. We will be eternally grateful not to have to a passenger in her car, once she gets her license. I will be eternally grateful as maybe I can quit buying stock in Miss Clarol to cover the gray hairs I have accumulated teaching her to drive LOL. Honestly she is getting better. At least now when we tell her to stop she actually stops and not just coasts to a stop while running over small children and their toys in the process. LOL. Today she was able to spare a poor squirrel and not end it's life prematurely. LOL. She is doing good in school and getting good grades. Softball started back up and they are practicing in the gym for pitching and catching. She is nervous as they are planning to cut players this year. Dave and I told her to practice hard and put her best effort into it and as long as she gave it 100% we would be happy with her no matter what.
Well that is about it on the Alaska home front. The dog is still alive, I have not killed her yet, there are days when I think about it, but then she does something cute and of course all is forgiven. She is learning a new trick, how to "smile" on command and she has made a new friend. Our friends have an older dog named Sadie and Kodiak is learning that not all other dogs are out to eat her, which trust me is a good thing. Who wants an 80lb lab that runs in fear from a 6lb Chihuahua!! So Kodiak is in doggie therapy lol.
Well folks I am out of here. More to come later. We miss you all and wish you all lived closer!!!
Love the Fabulous Four!!! + Kodi :o))
