Back from Kansas City

Made it back from Kansas City late Friday night. Glad to be home, sure missed the girls. Took a tour of the Harley Davidson factory while I was there. Wow! Impressive, I would recommend it if you every go through the area. The robots building the frames and pressing out the gas tanks were very neat to watch. No cameras are allowed on the tour, so I didn't get any pictures. Played a little poker at the casino while I was there, won one night and lost it the next day. Oh well, had fun. Learned some important things about the COOP program while I was there.

Krista had a dance on the 10th, said she had fun and danced with "Hot Boys". Now I really don't care to hear that, but what is a dad to do. You know since we live in Alaska, cleaning the guns when boys come over doesn't seem to have much of an effect. They will say, "let me run out to my truck and get mine and we can clean them together". THAT IS NOT THE POINT! Lol. There is a picture below of Krista in her dress for the dance.

Ash has been working and doing the workouts for softball. She seems excited about softball season this year, I think it is because she gets to quit her job when the season starts. lol She made everyone a valentines dinner last night. It was very good, the girl can cook! I think she originally was just going to make it for Andrew, but she invited Jen, I and Krista. I took Jen out for Prime rib dinner on Saturday night for Valentines day dinner.

On to the Valentines day excitement. For actual Valentines day I took the girls all to the Vintage snowmobile races. Now that is a Valentines day to remember! Actually they really enjoy the races. We were able to find a second machine for Andrew (Ashleys boyfriend) to ride. We picked up a 1974 ski-doo tnt 340 on Saturday. We spent most of the day getting it running for him to ride on Sunday. It hadn't been started for several years, so it took some time. He rode a couple of laps before it broke down. It was a minor breakdown, just lost the gas line. We were able to repair it for him to make another race. Once again it broke down, this time he actually broke the gas tank itself. He was done for the day. I think it must have been a karma thing for him. Before the race he was talking how it was in the bag, that he was just racing a bunch of old guys. The old guys = 1, Andrew = 0. lol There is a picture of him about to fall off on the black machine below. That was how his day went. I had a much better day this week, no broken parts and one trophy = a good day. At the bottom there is a video link to youtube. Craig had a helmet video cam, it shows how rough the track is. Enjoy.

Ever wonder what it looks like from a racers point? Well Craig (race organiser) put on a Helmet came and filmed it. Below is one of the races they did.
